Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the £75m signing of highly rated Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho who has been the subject of serious interest from Manchester United over the last one year. The Daily Mirror claimed that the Red Devils are close to completing a deal for the England international.
Borussia Dortmund turned down the first offer of £67m from Manchester United for Sancho this summer. The report from the aforementioned media platform confirmed the first offer and that it was rejected by the Germans. It was also stated that Premier League giants Manchester United have returned with a second offer of £75m and that has taken them closer to landing their man.
Manchester United have already been informed that Borussia Dortmund want the majority of the transfer fee with the remaining added in performance-related bonuses.
England international Sancho has been a key player for Borussia Dortmund since his move from Premier League champions Manchester City three years ago. He was the best player for Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup last season. Borussia Dortmund won the competition last season after beating RB Leipzig in the final.
Sancho is with the England squad at Euro 2020 though he missed out on the opening game of the tournament for the Three Lions. The Borussia Dortmund winger was left out of the 23-man England squad for the game against Croatia at the Wembley Stadium at the weekend. He’s likely to be in the squad for the second England game in Group D against home nations rivals Scotland.
