Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly ahead of Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid and French Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the keenly contested race to sign ErlingHaaland from German club Borussia Dortmund. This is according to the report from the stables of MEN (Manchester Evening News).
Mino Raiola is the agent of Haaland and the Italian is notorious for being very difficult during negotiations. In December 2021, he said in an interview, monitored by MEN, that Manchester City have not signed a replacement for club legend Sergio Aguero who left after a decade at the Etihad Stadium at the end of last season and that they are in the running to sign Haaland alongside clubs such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Bayern and Barcelona would like to sign one of the hottest properties in the world in Erling Harland, but they are almost ruled out of the race for the striker due to the money needed to pull off the transfer thus leaving Real Madrid and Manchester City to battle it out for the former Red Bull Salzburg and Malmo FF player. French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are also in the conversations to sign Haaland. As a matter of fact, PSG are the bookmakers favourite to sign the Norwegian senior national team star.
